Oporajeo: Survivors of the Largest Garment Humanitarian Crisis

The Rana Plaza Collapse is considered the deadliest garment factory disaster in recorded history. Taking the lives of over 1,100 factory workers, Kazi Hossain, while picking through the rubble of skulls and bones, decided that change must happen. And happen now. Kazi opened the doors of Oporajeo Enterprises several months after the crisis in an effort to redefine factory working conditions and ensure that no more lives were lost at the hands of unethical and unsafe environments.

Oporajeo is a garments factory hand crafting Jute products for global shipment. Our film tells the story of these brave survivors and a glimpse of hope for the future of the industry.
